A product of Christian education, Maurice graduated from Oakwood Adventist Academy and attended Oakwood University and Clayton State University, focusing on business. His career in law enforcement with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and the Atlanta Police Department showcased his dedication to public service. As a volunteer chaplain and certified instructor in various specialized areas, Maurice’s influence extended beyond his official duties. His service included memorable moments such as meeting President Barack Obama at the officers’ memorial in Washington D.C., and providing executive protection for former President Bill Clinton, former Mayor Kasim Reed and other prominent figures. Honored with numerous community awards, including the Atlanta Hawks Community Playmaker Award and the Judge Author Kaplan Community Service Award, to being honored by Steve Harvey. Maurice is committed to enhancing the lives of those around him through self-empowerment and consistent execution.

Maurice’s passion for helping youth stems from his own journey growing up angry, abused and confused, where dedicated educators played a pivotal role in his life, pouring their wisdom, care, and guidance into him. He has since made it his mission to pay this kindness forward. His inspirational leadership has been instrumental in reducing juvenile delinquency, working with organizations like the Boys & Girls Club, the Police Athletic League ( PAL), YMCA and the At-Promise Center. Maurice continues demonstrating the profound impact that committed educators and mentors can have on transforming lives and shaping brighter futures.

Maurice Moore is deeply passionate about speaking to youth because he believes in the transformative power of words. Growing up, Maurice stuttered, had low self esteem, and had a hard time reading. By overcoming these challenges he received firsthand knowledge on how positive reinforcement and a well crafted speech could alter the trajectory of a young person's life.
